The challenge
TemaTech sold computer hardware and electronics through walk-in trade and social media messages. Stock levels lived in a spreadsheet, orders were confirmed by phone, and there was no way for a customer to browse the catalogue, check availability or pay without speaking to someone first. Growth was capped by how many conversations the team could hold in a day.
What we built
- Built a full product catalogue with search, category filtering and live stock levels, so customers could self-serve instead of queuing behind a phone call.
- Implemented a secure checkout with cart, invoice generation and order tracking, giving customers a receipt and a status they could check themselves.
- Added a real-time inventory system so stock counts stay accurate across online and in-store sales rather than drifting apart.
- Delivered an analytics dashboard covering best-sellers, order volume and revenue, so buying decisions are driven by data rather than instinct.
- Chose Laravel 11 on PHP 8.1 to match the stack the client could maintain and hire for locally — the right long-term call over a framework we might have preferred ourselves.
